I'm having a hard time logging in at this point when nobody else is on.

I can't log in without a swarm of 20 zombies as soon as the load in is over.
I can't move without being attacked.
I can't craft ammo without being attacked.

Basically, unless I know other people are on, I can't play.

The spawn cycle sure does seem unpredictable with this new RGW thing. I have to think the algorithm they're using isn't quite what it should be or what they want and will require quite a bit of tweaking. It's not like the old static map that was predictable and they could place the same spawn points everywhere. RGW now has infinite possibilities and combinations of players and locations on the map.

I don't like how hordes spawn 'on you' randomly. I understand why they do it (so you're guaranteed to get that challenge from time to time) but it still feels cheesy and overly predictable. I am not a game designer so I don't even pretend to know how to answer that problem on the massive scale this new map presents.

Last night the city was completely dead silent, not a zombie in sight. Other nights it's crawling with them but not other players. I don't really get it.
