I am currently drowning on an island after swimming to it 5010N 1460E, I've tried relogging, what do I do?

I just logged back on for the second time, and accepted my fate lol.
But yeah, I was diving and ran my O2 levels to zero, but I managed to surface and swim to shore, but as soon as I was on the island, the drowning audio and visuals started again.
So, I relogged as I said, but they continued.

So, I'd avoid running your O2 too low.
I probably should have jumped back in the water to reset my levels, I dunno if that would work but it's all I can think of now, after the fact.

You are exactly right to jump back in. Used to have more issues with that bug. Much more rare now, but by taking a little dip in the pool you can get it back to normal.

Problem is if you stay too long under water you actually mutate into a fish, and then suffocate when you start to try breathing air. Lots of mutations going on in Ground Zero so you have to be careful. For instance, I ate too many cookies and mutated into Cookie Monster. I personally consider it an acceptable trade, but combing all this hair does get annoying sometimes.
