Title: Damage to other players' base
Post by: laracroft on November 24, 2017, 07:47:01 am
Hi,
I've tried with two different bases, and I can't seem to be able to raid anyone. Every time I try to hit a block, there's no damage done (it's exactly like the trader: the ping sound and no hit). Does anyone know why? I live in the south, I should be able to enter other players' bases.
Thanks a lot to anyone helping!

Until the Fun Pimps fix the online/offline durability settings for the land claim block, they are set at infinite protection. This means the protected area is invulnerable with the exception of damage by zombies. This is not ideal in a PvP environment but it is necessary for the time being. If you are patient and creative, you can use zombies to your advantage. Just be sure to keep in mind the following rule:

Quote
While using zombies to break into someones base is permitted, you can only do so using your player. You are NOT permitted to use campfires or forges or anything that can attract zombies unattended.

Once the developers have fixed the modifiers, we will make changes to durability.

Ah that makes more sense, I thought it was me. Thanks  :)

You are welcome. Also note, some players have bases in the south without using a land claim block. They do so because it is harder to find without the "ping" of protection. They are well hidden. ;)

Hi,

But there's no way to break chests, even with zombies, so we essentially can't raid anyone.
